COVID-19 and HUTIRA

The operation of our HUTIRA – BRNO Company was not interrupted even during the COVID-19 outbreak. Until April 24th, we operated in a slightly limited mode of production, storage and service. Business activities and consulting were running as usual. All personal meetings at the company premises were canceled. Some employees used the home office, so everyone was still available during working hours. From April 27th, we have been working in normal mode with increased safety and hygiene measures.

The situation was a test for us as it affected many of our partners. Especially companies based in France, Spain and Italy were working under considerable stress. Thanks to our sufficient pre-supply effort, the outages were kept at minimum. 94% of stock items are now available and we expect to improve the supply volume in coming weeks.

We also noticed impacts on the sales side. Several items saw an increase of sales volume. This was because some customers were afraid of shortages and tried to increase stock volume. However, some orders were suspended. Thus, we were able to provide 3 insulated and air-conditioned containers as temporary COVID sampling stations in 3 local hospitals. We keep monitoring the situation around COVID-19. We know that we have not won yet. Nonetheless, we thank all of you, our partners and employees.
