HUTIRA – BRNO helped with the modernization of the natural gas storage tank in Dambořice

Last year, HUTIRA – BRNO participated in a number of major projects. One of them was the modification of the drying technology in the underground natural gas storage tank in Dambořice (UGS Dambořice), which is operated by Moravia Gas Storage.

HUTIRA – BRNO played a key role in three areas during the implementation. The first was a temporary gas supply using the HUTIRA mobile regulation station. “In order to successfully complete the project, it was necessary to temporarily provide sufficient gas at the appropriate pressure for the burners drying the adsorption columns. Our mobile regulation station with Emerson Tartarini Cronos regulator fulfilled the requirement to reduce the pressure for the burners,” said Michal Schrimpel, Project Manager of HUTIRA – BRNO.

As part of the next phase of the modernization of the UGS Dambořice, HUTIRA – Brno, in cooperation with Emerson, also carried out a warranty repair of the Fisher control valve. “This part took place in the autumn. We used our many years of experience in the field, proper training of our experts and the appropriate equipment and ensured the resealing and new setting of this system,” said Michal Schrimpel, Project Manager of HUTIRA – BRNO.

In addition to both key activities as part of the modifications of the UGS Dambořice technologies, HUTIRA – BRNO also participated in the project mainly in the position of technical supervision of the investor regarding the technological part. Thanks to the involvement of HUTIRA experts and technologies, the project to modernize the natural gas storage tank in Dambořice was successfully completed last year.
