Another Award for the Brand HUTIRA. Two Companies Have Received Energy Audits!
The brand HUTIRA can claim a further advance in its environmental goals. Together with winning the Gold Medal, for meeting all the criteria of the Brno Memorandum on CO2 reduction, which the HUTIRA – BRNO, s.r.o. received as the first one of the nominees, came other great news. The PKV company, with which the HUTIRA – BRNO, s.r.o. had an energy audit of its premises in Popůvky u Brna processed, assessed on the basis of the data obtained that the HUTIRA – BRNO, s.r.o. is a very moderate air polluter with a low carbon footprint compared to similarly sized companies.
The energy audit focused, for example, on the assessment of the office building and warehouse halls, respectively on their heating, ventilation or lighting methods. In addition, it assessed the age and quality of the company’s fleet of 44 vehicles, 14 of which use CNG or CNG in combination with petrol as fuel. Thanks to the measures taken, the HUTIRA – BRNO, s.r.o. managed to reduce the carbon footprint of the premises by up to 15%. The PKV company has also proposed several other opportunities for energy savings.
The energy audit was also performed on the premises of the subsidiary ATJ special, s.r.o. in Ostrovačice. Here is situated only one building, whose technical equipment and condition is in very good condition, and a fleet of 10 vehicles. This is also where the PKV has proposed several opportunities to reduce its carbon footprint in the future.
The results of the energy audit have clearly confirmed that the path we started years ago in the brand HUTIRA is the right one and leads to reducing the environmental impact of our business activities. This is evidenced by the invitation to the international webinar “The role of business in boosting renewable energy in Central and Eastern Europe”, which took place at the end of October under the auspices of the Renewable Energy Chamber and the British Embassy in Prague.
The participants from the business sector presented the methods to set and implement corporate objectives in the field of climate protection and renewable energy use and described how their membership in business initiatives focused on climate protection, such as Go Green, established by Mr. Ivo Hutira, helps them achieve their goals.
